Ideally, this blog will be my detailed account of my life over the next year from the time I leave Seattle until my return after a year in Afghanistan. Since I rarely follow through with things like this we'll see how well it turns out, but here's hoping...

Oh, and this is the wonderful homemade lunch I have to look forward to every day. And no, there is no microwave. That's straight cold boyardee. I'm starting to question the defense budget cuts.
