Ideally, this blog will be my detailed account of my life over the next year from the time I leave Seattle until my return after a year in Afghanistan. Since I rarely follow through with things like this we'll see how well it turns out, but here's hoping...

It begins
I'm about to get on my flight on my way to indianapolis. Saying goodbye was hard. I hope this gets easier at some point.
